DESCRIPTION:Gear up towards Summer with Duathlons in May\nOne of Canada’s longest running multisport series\, the Birds Hill Duathlon in the Park Series returns for 2024. \nWhether you’re taking your first steps into the sport or a seasoned vet getting ready for big summer goals\, the chance to challenge yourself on Tuesday nights is a perfect way to start the outdoor season!! \nRaces take place across three Tuesdays in May:\nWeek 1 – Tuesday\, May 14 – Standard Du at East Beach Parking Lot\nWeek 2 – Tuesday\, May 21 – Standard Du at East Beach Parking Lot\nWeek 3 – Tuesday\, May 28 – Dirt Du at Birds Hill Equestrian Ranch \nEach week\, there are various events to choose from\, catering to all age levels. \nMay 28th event is a Dirt Duathlon\, allowing competitors a chance to race through the trees and along the trails at Birds Hill Park. \n \n​Registration costs of only $15 for kids and $30 for adults\, it’s never been easier to get into racing.  All you need is a bike\, helmet and running shoes and your Tuesday evenings in May can be the start of an amazing summer. \nNOTE – Registration will be ONLINE ONLY\, no walk-ups\, so please click the link below to take part. \nREGISTER\n  \nTo be eligible for World Championship Qualification in the Sprint Duathlon event\, you must complete an Expression of Interest PRIOR to the event on May 21.  That expression must be submitted within the three weeks prior to the event – a link to do so will be added to this page from May 1 onward. \nRaces take place at the East Beach Parking Lot at Birds Hill Park\, with the following schedule for each evening: \n5:00 pm – Transition & Race Kit Pick-up Open\n6:15 pm – Transition & Race Kit Pick-up Close\n6:30 pm – Pre-Race Meeting for all distances \n6:45 pm – Tikes & Trikes\n6:55 pm – Kids Short Race Begins\n7:15 pm – Adult Event Begins\n7:17 pm – Kids Long Race Begins \n
