SUMMARY:Manitoba Games Clinic #1
DESCRIPTION:On the Road to Dauphin for the 2024 Manitoba Summer Games\n2024 sees the return of Manitoba Summer Games hosted in Dauphin\, MB from August 11th to 17th. \nThe Triathlon events will be held at Riding Mountain National Park on August 15th & 16th. Athletes born between 2009 and 2014 will be eligible\, with plenty of opportunities to qualify at eight planned events over the next twelve months\, including these three opportunities at winter clinics across the province. \nAthlete’s looking to qualify for the Games can do so through participation in the following events\, one of which should be a Kids of Steel Race:\n– 2023 Peace Garden Duathlon\n– 2023 Riding Mountain Triathlon\n– At least three Triathlon Clinics held during the 2023-24 winter season (These Clinics!!)\n– 2024 Triple Threat Triathlon\n– 2024 St.Malo Triathlon \nHere is the list of Clinics we’ve planned for the 2024 Winter Season: \nKids MB Games Clinic #1 – Saturday\, January 27th – Sport MB Fitness Centre\, Winnipeg\nKids MB Games Clinic #2 – Saturday\, February 10th – Sport MB Fitness Centre\, Winnipeg\nKids MB Games Clinic #3 – Saturday\, March 23rd – Stride Place\, Portage la Prairie (TBC)\n \nOur MB Games Coaches and a few special guests will lead the kids through 90 minutes of activity and racing.  The event will include warm-ups\, races and challenges all focused on whatever combination of swimming\, biking and running each facility permits. \nFor this first clinic on January 27th\, we’ll use the indoor track and spin bikes available at the Sport Manitoba Fitness Centre.\nNOTE – Minimum saddle height for the bikes is 680mm from top of saddle to the pedal at its low point \nCost – $20 registration\, which includes an annual Triathlon Manitoba Membership\, which can be used any of the nine other Kid’s events this season.\nIf you already have a TriMB Membership\, the cost is only $10 \nThis event will take place at the Sport MB Fitness Centre\, at 145 Pacific Avenue\, which has indoor parking at the facility. Registrants are asked to check-in between 5:30 and 5:45 pm\, with the workout starting at 6:00 pm. \nREGISTER \nFull details on Manitoba Games qualification\, including the Expression of Interest form\, can be found on our MB Games Page. \n \n
