SUMMARY:2024 Kids Summer Program
DESCRIPTION:Train like a Triathlete Year-Round!\n\nOur Kids Summer Program runs June to August\, providing young athletes with the opportunity to participate in sport specific workouts led by great coaches. \nSummer sessions will take place Monday & Wednesday at Birds Hill Park from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The program will consist of open water swim\, bike\, run\, and training through transitions. This program is designed to develop fitness and strength for all three sports. \nThe program is targeted at youth 8 – 12 years of age. \nTriathlon Manitoba is fortunate to have two excellent coaches leading the program\, keen to help the next generation of athletes fall in love with triathlon by sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport. \nAnnika Niblock is a graduate of the TriMB Youth & MTC Programs\, competed in triathlon at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games and is currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies at U of M. Darian Hole is a former MTC athlete\, having competed as part of Team Manitoba at the 2013 Canada Summer Games\, he brings a wealth of experience from his years in the sport. \nREGISTER \nDates:  Every Monday and Wednesday evening in June\, July\, and August. \nLocation:  Birds Hill Park (East Beach) \nTime:  6:30 PM  – 8:30 PM \nCost:  $160 for the summer \nMembership:  Annual membership for kids is $10 (must have a Triathlon Manitoba membership to do the program) \nEquipment:  Swimsuit\, running shoes\, exercise wear\, bicycle and helmet. (Note: Any type of bicycle is fine for this program) \n

DESCRIPTION:2024 Tri for St. Amant Virtual Triathlon organized by Team goBert\n\n\nTeam goBert invites you to challenge yourself in a safe environment and share your achievements within our Triathlon community\, while helping the community at large through the St. Amant Foundation. \nThe event features Olympic\, Sprint & Try-a-Tri distances.  All registrants will be invited to set up a fundraising page to help raise funds to purchase specialized bikes for people with developmental disabilities and autism. \n\nIn its three years\, this event has raised $260\,000! \nWith your help\, we can create more opportunities for inclusion and independence! SUMMARY:St Malo Kids of Steel
DESCRIPTION:St. Malo Kids of Steel Triathlon presented by Prairie Performance Triathlon\nLess than an hour from Winnipeg\, the St Malo Triathlon has welcomed athletes from coast to coast to coast. Athletes continue to return to the event due to its history\, location and friendly atmosphere.  The 2024 event marks the 27th running of the St Malo Triathlon\, and they’re excited to continue to offer Kids of Steel racing. \n\nRace options are listed below\, with plenty of distances on offer for both Triathlon and Duathlon racing.  Athlete age is determined as of December 31st\, 2024.  Athletes may race in shorter divisions (younger age groups) if they’d prefer. \n\n\n\nEvent\nSwim (or Run #1) Distance\nBike Distance\nRun Distance\n\n\n\n\n14-15 Long Course Triathlon\n500 m swim\n10 km\n4 km\n\n\n\n14-15 Short Course Triathlon\n12-13 Long Course Triathlon\n\n300 m swim\n10 km\n3 km\n\n\n\n12-13 Short Course Triathlon\n10-11 Triathlon\n\n200 m swim\n5 km\n2 km\n\n\n8-9 Triathlon\n100 m swim\n5 km\n1 km\n\n\n6-7 Triathlon\n50 m swim\n1.5 km\n500 m\n\n\n\n14-15 Duathlon\n12-13 Duathlon\n\n1 km run\n10 km\n3 km\n\n\n10-11 Duathlon\n1 km run\n5 km\n2 km\n\n\n8-9 Duathlon\n500 m run\n5 km\n1 km\n\n\n6-7 Duathlon\n250 m run\n1.5 km\n500 m\n\n\nTykes and Trikes (3 to 5 years old)\n~25 m swim\n~200 m\n~50 m\n\n\n\nAthletes registered in the Tykes and Trikes event must be accompanied by a parent or guardian through the entire event.
