TriMB is excited to partner with the University of Manitoba to offer Indoor Triathlon racing this winter.
A new type of racing, designed to challenge new and experienced triathletes, while making it easier than ever to take the start line.
Held on Saturday, December 18, the race format is simple — swim, bike & run for a set amount of time as per the table below. The farther you go within the time, the more points you score! Races will be held in waves of a maximum of 18 participants per wave. Wave start times will be communicated after registration closes.
All racing takes place indoors at the U of M facility, with swimming in the Joyce Fromson Pool, before bike and run at the Jim Daley Fieldhouse at Max Bell Centre.
Early bird pricing until December 1.
Note the University of Manitoba facilities require that all participants, volunteers and staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status and government-issued identification will be required at entry to sport and recreational facilities and participation in the events.
“Please note: three ply masks are required indoors at all times, but may be removed when participants are engaged in physical activity and while in their individual workout spaces in UM sport and recreation facilities. Movement in and between equipment/activities (i.e. transitions for this event) will require masking at all times.”
This means you do not need to wear a mask while racing, but will need to have a mask on for the transitions between disciplines.
