Gear up towards Summer with Duathlons in May
One of Canada’s longest running multisport series, the Birds Hill Duathlon in the Park Series returns for 2025.
Whether you’re taking your first steps into the sport or a seasoned vet getting ready for big summer goals, the chance to challenge yourself on Tuesday nights is a perfect way to start the outdoor season!!
Races take place across three Tuesdays in May:
Week 1 – Tuesday, May 13th
Week 2 – Tuesday, May 20th
Week 3 – Tuesday, May 27th
Each week, there are four events to choose from, catering to all age levels:
Registration costs as low as $15 for kids and $30 for adults when registering for the series. It’s never been easier to get into racing. All you need is a bike, helmet and running shoes and your Tuesday evenings in May can be the start of an amazing summer!
NOTE – Race Day Walk Up Registration fee is $60.00 per race. Walk-up registration is available from 5:00pm – 6:00pm on race day. No refunds.
At the May 20th event, the Adult Long Duathlon will be a World Qualifier event, where the top age group female and male athletes can make their way onto the Canadian Age Group World Championship Team, for the 2026 World Triathlon Multisport Championship, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
To be eligible for World Championship Qualification in the Sprint Duathlon, you must hold a Triathlon Manitoba Annual Membership and complete an Expression of Interest by midnight on May 19.
Races take place at the East Beach Parking Lot at Birds Hill Park, with the following schedule for each evening:
5:00 pm – Transition & Race Kit Pick-up Open
6:15 pm – Transition & Race Kit Pick-up Close
6:30 pm – Pre-Race Meeting for all distances
6:45 pm – Tikes & Trikes
6:55 pm – Kids Short Race Begins
7:15 pm – Adult Event Begins
7:17 pm – Kids Long Race Begins
