Triathlon Manitoba member Kyla Roy celebrates the win at the NCAA championship on Saturday November 16th.
Kyla is a Manitoba Triathlon Centre Alumni, currently on triathlon scholarship at University of Arizona. She’s had an outstanding season, also winning the Canadian U23 Championships earlier this July in Kelowna.
“It’s so cool to have all my friends and family here in Tempe, and just a huge support crowd,” Roy said. “Audrey (Ernst, Kyla’s ASU teammate) was so strong on the bike, she really pushed the pace. On the run, I just kind of went for it.”
Triathlon Manitoba athlete Payton Ryz also competed at the event for the University of South Dakota, where she’s on a triathlon scholarship, and finished 10th in the race, putting two MTC alumni in the top ten!
