Locations Confirmed for the Biggest Triathlons of 2025!
Today’s announcement from World Triathlon confirms Wollongong, Australia will host the 2025 World Triathlon Championship Finals.
At the Wollongong Finals, World Champions will be crowned for the Elite, U23, Junior and Para triathlon, the Mixed Relay World Championships for U23/Juniors and Para triathlon, as well as Age-Group Standard distance, Age-Group Sprint distance, Age-Group Aquabike Standard distance and Age-Group Mixed Relay World Championships.

All other World Championship events in 2025 will take place as part of the Multisport World Championships, which were awarded to Pontevedra, Spain.
The Multisport World Championships will see duathlon, cross duathlon, long distance triathlon, long distance aquabike, aquathlon and cross triathlon world championship racing organised together during a week-long festival.
Pontevedra, the home of the five-time World Champion Javier Gomez Noya, is a seasoned host of major triathlon events, being the venue of the 2019 Multisport Championships and the 2023 World Triathlon Championship Finals.

One of the coolest things about Triathlon has always been that age group athletes are able to challenge the same courses as the World’s best.
How would you like to be the one trying to stop a Sydney Crosby break away. What about out-rebounding Lebron James? Staying out of trouble while you race around a Formula 1 or MotoGP circuit at full speed?
We simply can’t experience the challenge faced by the World’s best in other sports. But in Triathlon, you’re invited to be a part of the biggest events. You’ll race the same courses, on the same week, as part of the same massive celebrations of our sport. And this is why Triathlon Manitoba works to offer World Qualification opportunities at local races.
Here’s where you can qualify for the 2025 World Championship Events:
2025 Sprint Triathlon World Qualifier – St Malo Triathlon – Saturday, June 22nd, 2024
2025 Multisport Triathlon World Qualifier – Hecla Triathlon – Saturday, July 20th, 2024
