Train like a triathlete year round

Our Kids Fall & Winter Program is designed for athletes who want to grow their fitness and develop strength in swimming, biking, and running, while also building confidence in a supportive team environment. 

This program runs from October 17th to April 10th, and is targeted at youth aged 8 –15 years (born 2011–2018), to develop fitness and strength for all three sports.

Saturday sessions take place at Pan Am Pool from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Athletes will begin with a run focused workout on the upstairs indoor track, followed by swim training in the Main Tank pool.

Registration for Saturday sessions is $200 for the six months. 

Annika Niblock and Darian Hole will continue as the program’s primary coaches.

Darian Hole is a graduate of the MTC Program who represented Team Manitoba at the 2013 Canada Summer Games, and has been Mission Staff for the 2023 and 2025 Canada Games. He brings forward a wealth of experience and knowledge from years in sport.

Annika Niblock is a graduate of the TriMB Youth and MTC Programs and has most notably competed at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games. She brings five years of youth coaching experience and a welcoming and positive energy to each practice.

Our coaches are keen to help the next generation of athletes fall in love with triathlon by sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for our sport.

NOTE – While this program will help athletes develop better swim technique, it’s not intended to be a learn-to-swim program.  All athletes should be able to comfortably complete 50m of steady swimming (enough to access the deep end in most local pools) before beginning the program.

REGISTER

A 2027 Triathlon Manitoba membership must be purchased with each Kids Program Registration, which provides insurance for all workout participants, as well as a racing licence for the season ahead.  The Kids of Steel memberships are $15, plus CCN processing fees.
