2020 Hecla Triathlon

​The Hecla Triathlon will take place in Hecla, Manitoba, July 18, 2020.  This race started in 2015 and has continued to grow and evolve each year since, and is now home to Manitoba’s only Long Course race.

The event is popular, with an approx. 200 racers.  This race won’t disappoint, with tremendous athlete support to ensure the day goes smoothly.

Why Hecla?

• The swim course is protected by the marina, guarding from what can be an unpredictable Lake Winnipeg, and the run to T1 (~650m) will allow you to shake out your sea legs in prep for your bike.

• ​The bike course is flat and fast, lock and load, and keep your eyes open for wildlife!

• Moving onto the run, you will experience both road and trail, skirting the marina and resort, and hugging the lake.

• This course will provide you both a physically and mentally challenging race, packed with stunning vistas all showcasing the beauty of the island.
