This past weekend was the annual 70.3 Calgary Ironman and Manitoba had great representation. There were a couple of standout finishes by Manitoba athletes mainly Les Friesen and Christine McKinley. Les Friesen finished the Ironman in 4th overall and 2nd in his group with a time of 4:10:38. Christine McKinley finished 4th overall in the females and placed 1st in her group with a time of 4:34:56. Congratulations to everyone from Manitoba that raced in Calgary.
There was also a number of Manitobans that raced in Whistler’s Ironman this past weekend. Many Triple Threat club members took on the challenge in Whistler and achieved it. Congratulations goes out to all of you!
