2023 Race Calendar – from Start to Finish!

2022 was the Comeback – 2023 is Packed!!

Eight Straight Months of Events

Getting back to in-person racing last summer was wonderful.  We got to see old friends, meet new ones and feel a bit of normality again across our community.

For 2023, our goal is simple – We want more people to experience the joys of our sport.

To do that, we’re working to extend the season, delivering loads of events in lots of different formats, so there’s something for everyone.

  • If you’re New to Triathlon or keen to check things out, WOW have we got a bunch of welcoming events to make your first steps into our sport rewarding.
  • If you’ve done a few triathlons or come from another competitive sport, but want to challenge yourself further, how about qualifying to represent Canada at a World Championship or racing to earn a the title of Provincial Triathlon Champion!?
  • And if you’re just looking to have some fun and find an excuse to travel somewhere beautiful with friends and family, oh boy do we have those weekends on offer too!

There will be plenty more updates and announcements to come, plus rewards too!  For now, here’s a preview of what we all have to look forward to in 2023, with a full calendar and dates included below:

WINTER

Kid’s Duathlon Days: Our Kid’s Duathlon Days are aimed at 8-12 year-old athletes, designed to offer a supportive atmosphere, with great coaching and post-race food for a fun overall experience.

Women’s Indoor Duathlons: These races are ideal for newcomers looking to try out our sport in a safe and supportive (and warm) environment!

Beat the Cold Winter Triathlon: By far the coolest event on our calendar, Beat The Cold celebrates what’s great about living in the heart of the continent, while helping those in need.

Indoor Duathlon for All: Building on the success of the Women’s Duathlon Series, we’re adding one more event for anyone who wants a fun / supportive intro to multisport this season.

Indoor Triathlon at U of M: Last winter’s outstanding new event returns, with a unique timing format and your only chance to do a triathlon race in a pool – a great way for Tri newbies to start.

SPRING

April Run Series: With race season coming up, there’s no better way to make sure your run leg is ready! Choose 5k/5k/5k if you want to work on speed or 5k/10k/15k if you want to work on endurance.

Bird’s Hill Duathlon Series: The tune-up continues as we see the return of warm weather, the addition of transitions and welcomes our incredible community of athletes to outdoor multisport racing.

Intro to Triathlon Clinic: Last year’s clinic was a huge success and it was awesome to see ‘graduates’ at events throughout the year.  If you’ve built the fitness, but still have questions or nerves about racing, don’t miss this clinic.
