Intro to Triathlon Swimming
January 13 - March 19
SOLD OUT FOR 2025
Back for another year, our Intro to Triathlon Swim program is designed to get athlete’s on the start line for their first Triathlon event.
This 10-week program is designed to build form, fitness and confidence – taking athletes from bobbing to propelling. At the end of the 10 weeks, each athlete should be ready to graduate their training to the standard TriMB Swim Program or another Masters swim program.
Program workouts will take place Monday and Wednesday evenings, from 8:00 – 9:00 pm. Workouts run from Monday, January 13 to Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Program cost is $200 for 10 weeks and spaces are limited to only 15 swimmers – to ensure that each athlete has lots of support from our coaching staff.
Four coaches will lead the program – Patrick Peacock, Christine McKinley, Abby Torrance and Jared Spier – with two coaches present each evening, to ensure a maximum amount of feedback and support for each swimmer.
NOTE – Our number one question from athletes about this program is what is the pre-requisite swim level??
This program is not intended as a ‘learn to swim’ program. All swimmers should be able to swim 100m without stopping before starting the program. Put another way – you should be able to pass the test to enter the deep end at any public pool. That doesn’t need to be a beautiful freestyle swim stroke (that’s where the program coaches can help), but our coaches are meant to be there helping you improve your form and efficiency, not to rescue anyone.
Note – Admission to the pool is included in the registration.
