2026 Kids Program – Fall & Winter
Train like a Triathlete Year-Round!
Our Kids Fall & Winter Program is designed for athletes who want to grow their fitness, develop strength in swimming, biking, and running, while building confidence in a supportive team environment.
The program runs from October to April, and is targeted at youth aged 8 –15 years (born 2010–2018), to develop fitness and strength for all three sports.
Saturday sessions are designed for all athletes and take place at the Pan Am Pool from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Begin with a run fitness workout, followed by swim training in the pool.
Registration for Saturday-only sessions is $200 for six months.
Annika Niblock and Darian Hole will continue as our program coaches.
Annika is a graduate of the TriMB Youth & MTC Programs, competed in triathlon at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games, and is currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Manitoba. Darian is a former MTC athlete, having competed as part of Team Manitoba at the 2013 Canada Summer Games, and he brings a wealth of experience from his years in the sport.
Our coaches are keen to help the next generation of athletes fall in love with triathlon by sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for our sport.
NOTE – While this program will help athletes develop better swim technique, it’s not intended to be a learn-to-swim program. All athletes should be able to comfortably complete 100m of steady swimming (enough to access the deep end in most local pools) before beginning the program.
A 2026 Triathlon Season membership must be purchased with each Kids Program Registration, which provides insurance for all workout participants, as well as a racing licence for the season ahead. The Kids of Steel memberships are $15, plus CCN processing fees.

2025 Swim Stroke Development Program
Swimming Harder Can Make You Slower.
Swimming Better Makes You Faster!
NEW SPACES ADDED
Registration is now open for our Swim Stroke Development Program, designed to help triathletes refine technique, build efficiency, and gain confidence in the water.
Coached sessions will take place once a week on Monday OR Wednesday evenings, from 8-9 pm at the Pan Am Pool (in parallel with our regular Swim Program). Athletes will be given a second workout to complete on their own each week, reinforcing the coached lessons and facilitating the desired progression throughout the program.
Athletes will receive on-deck training from experienced coaches. Sessions will run for 8 sessions – starting the week of October 20th until the week of December 15th (November 10th and 12th will be a week off for the program). The program will include video capture sessions, enabling athletes to receive direct feedback on their stroke mechanics and the improvements they make throughout the program.
Target Audience:
– Athletes with prior experience of triathlon swimming/racing, likely those who learned to swim as adults and looking to gain efficiency in their swimming
(Our Intro to Triathlon Swimming will run again in Jan-Mar 2026 for newbies)
(If you don’t already have a pair, our coaches recommend this shorter style)
Registration space is limited.
